Rant! And Feel Better

Rant! And Feel Better

Logo-01.png

“Rant! And Feel Better” is a Ranting platform that allows users to rant their pent up unhappiness in hopes to feel better.

It is an app that allows users to tap into community effort for support, where each user would help each other through thoughts and advices. At the same time, users anonymity is kept private to provide a safe space for people to share.

Ultimately in hopes to vent out unhappiness to feel better again.

Problem

Studying the World Happiness Report, I was challenged with the task of translating the data visually and also to come up with an app for it.

Upon taking up the report, I compared the different values measured across all the countries and wondered if there was a correlation between Happiness and Social Support. If more Support would bring out more Happiness in us. And it turned out that in a general trend, it does! In addition to that, with increased happiness so does our health. So it’s definitely important for people to understand this and also garner more social support.

So what makes us happy?

Hence I figured that what if we could have a platform for people to come together and support each other? A social get together app? Or some form of a platform where people can contribute to a greater cause.

Initial Solutions

As the project was done during a pandemic, there were other concerns in the background as well, such as trying out best to not promote physical gathering, but instead to get over the hurdle of getting people together in other ways.

And in the end, I settled with a ‘Ranting’ Platform, where people could vent their frustrations, sadness, and anger to feel better. And in the times of Covid, it could not be more relevant where people are mostly at home and unable to connect with others well.

Apart from the participants ranting their own stories also listen to other stories from other people and to provide support if they are ready to.
